Got this one from a friend who bought this at SevenSeas in Bangkok....

I decided to clean this reel prior to using it as i did not want to experience the same thing that happened to me with the Penn Fierce 5000.  Grease all over my shirt.

This reel will be loaded with 2lbs test line.

I like the color scheme...black matte finish and red.

The spool even prior to dis-assembly has grease on it.

The drag knob with its components.

Drags and washers removed.

White felt washers.  17 mm x 4.5 mm x 1 mm. For those who want to upgrade to carbontex.

Ah...more grease..but on the outside.

Rotor removed.

Rotor dis-assembled and everything was greased.  Line roller bearing was lightly oiled with Corrosion-X.

Still more grease...again on the outside.  Shirt will be pristine after I use this.

Main gear, oscillating gear, traverse gear, traverse block and the shaft.

Pinion gear, pinion cover, bearings and the anti-reverse bearing.  And this is where it gets interesting as you can see later.

Everything is removed and cleaned.

There are two bearing for the pinion gear. You would think that they are of the same size but no.
One is 14mm x 8 mm x 4mm while the other specifically the un-shielded bearing is 14 mm x 7 mm x 3.5mm
The open bearing is a perfect fit, but the shielded one as you can see has a major allowance.  Why, i don't know.

You can clearly see that this would cause some major play on the shaft.  And i was right.  When assembled, without the rotor attached, its hard to crank this reel without causing a wobbly shaft.  I would try to find a replacement bearing for the shielded bearing with the correct size, 7 mm inner diameter.

Line roller bearing, i forgot to take measurements.

Main gear bearing on the plate 14 mm x 8 mm x 4

Main gear bearing on the body 12 mm x 8 mm x 3.5 mm

Body greased and ready for re-assembly
