I have yet to use this reel...so what better way to break it in...

Service it before using.

I will use this for some light shorecasting and heavy freshwater fishing.

This is the right side cover plate.

Spool.  This will be spooled with a Ande monofilament 12lbs test line.

Plastic brakes and the cogwheel

Spool shaft and bearings.  I'm still waiting for my Hedgehog spool pin remover.

Plastic middle gear and the e-clip

Handle, nut cap and spring washer

Ninja star darts anyone?

Handle side cover removed.

Drags and the plastic yoke and lifter.

The spring washer placed in a "( )" configuration.

The cast control cap.

Drags removed.  I did not bother to removed the whole thing.  I don't know how to remove the main gear.

Handle side plate with the Instant Anti Reverse.  This bearing is a very very tight fit.  I did not bother to remove this.

Drag washer configuration.  Better replace those washers with carbontex for better performance and improvement.

Pinion and yoke.

All parts removed and ready for cleaning.  Again I used lighter fluid to clean everything.

Step by step re-assembly.
Light coating of grease.
Pinion and yoke returned.

Ratch wheel installed.

Drag washers installed per piece.

I sprayed the instant anti-reverse with a light coating of corrosion x for rust resistance.

Again the spring washer installed in a "( )" configuration.  Wrong installation will cause binding.

Star drag installed.

Middle gear re-installed and lightly greased.

Wormgear, pawl and level wind coated with grease.

Levelwind assembly re-installed.

Spool returned.

Handle side cover re-installed.

I hope to catch some big fishes with this reel.

Here is the finished reel.  Smoother cranking.
