First Fishing Trip for 2014

2014 First Fishing Trip

Hopefully not the last

After more than 3 months of not getting my lines wet, i finally had a chance to go fishing again.
Was invited by a friend to fish in his playpen (fishpen) located in Laguna de Bay.

Target was the knifefish.

Here is our catch...

Will be back for more...

Some new toys...

New toys to play with

Though Santa came late, still brings a smile to my face with these new playthings.

Now, where can i test these?????

Shimano MLZ 10

Pre-servicing a Shimano MLZ 10

Got me a new toy....
A brand new never been used Shimano MLZ 10.  Made in Japan...

I believe this is a very old reel around 1980's but i can not find any other info aside from what's stated in the spool.

Prior to using the reel, i serviced it so i can be more secure if and when i caught something with it.

Here is the reel prior to servicing...
A nice little ultralight reel.
